They need our prayers

I just recieved a horrible message on my mobile. I'll quote it to you:

"Urgent prayer request.
Pls pray for the church in India. Budhist extremists burnt 20 churches yesterday night & are planning to destroy other 200 churches in Orissa tonight. BJP also planned to kill 200 pastors in the next 24 hrs. All christians are hiding in bushes. Pls pray & forward 2 all intercessors u know so we can cry out to God on their behalf. Pst Steve, Dubai"

This is really happening in the world today. I can't express how lucky we are to live safe, and how important it is for us to pray for the situation in India, and hope for the best. I really don't think God wants this, and it can be hard to understand how things like this can happen if God exists and is good. Unfortunately there are other powers in the world affecting the opposite way, and that isn't something God can control without interfering with the free will He has given us. Quite a problem, huh?

The situation is bad, and as I said; remember these people in your prayers - both the victims and the percecutors.

If you want to read more about the percecution of christians in India, you can take a look at this blog.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5.10-12

Sounds weird, but it's God's spoken word. Something good might come out of this terrible thing...
